Remembering Cody Thompson: A Tribute to the Beloved Co-Owner of Zeppoli’s

Cody Thompson, a beloved soul who touched the hearts of many, was not just the co-owner of Zeppoli's Restaurant and Wine Shop in Blacksburg, VA, but a vibrant force that cherished our local establishment. His journey with Zeppoli's is one deeply rooted in dedication and passion. Cody's legacy extends beyond the walls of the restaurant, as he was committed to the growth of Blacksburg and New River Valley. His involvement in our community and local events was a testament to his belief in the power of small businesses. He was always eager to lend a hand or sponsor a cause that brought people together!

Cody’s Shared Dream

Cody's passion for Zeppoli's began as a shared dream with Chris Mullens. In 2015, the Mullens-Thompson ownership was established. Their vision was to continue to create a space where friends and families could gather to share laughter, love, and homemade pasta. Cody and Chris, have continued to support our local suppliers and artisans, which have became the beacon of the Zeppoli’s community!

Cody, started as a host in 2008, and worked his way through various roles. From server to, ultimately assuming the position of manager, to co-owner. Cody’s passion for the community, food, and hospitality became the cornerstone of Zeppoli’s! His warm smile and genuine kindness were as much a part of the Zeppoli's experience as the tasty aromas from the kitchen, to the robust flavors of the wine selections!

The walls of Zeppoli's echo with the laughter of countless gatherings and the clinking of glasses toasting to memorable milestones. Cody’s enthusiasm for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere was contagious, ensuring that every guest felt like a part of the family!

The spirit of Cody Thompson will continue to live on in every dish served, every glass poured, and every heartfelt conversation had within the coziness of Zeps! His memory is a reminder of the impact one person can have on the lives of so many, and he will continue to be celebrated!
